About Fundamental First Aid
Fundamental First Aid is a WorkSafeBC-approved emergency training school located at 1868 Glen Dr #206, Vancouver, BC V6A 4K4.
We’ve trained hundreds of local groups across Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, and North Vancouver, including community centers, volunteer organizations, sports clubs, and parent networks. Our classes are led by certified instructors who bring both medical expertise and an easygoing, supportive teaching style. First Aid training is the primary Occupational Health Service we offer companies and community organizations.
Every class is hands-on, engaging, and tailored to the people in the room. Whether you’re learning to protect your family, your team, or your community, we make sure you walk away confident and ready to help.
Why Choose a Private Group First Aid Class
A private group class gives you the freedom to learn first aid your way. Instead of fitting into a public class schedule, you and your group can book a session that fits your availability, comfort level, and learning pace.
These classes are perfect for:
- Friend groups who want to learn lifesaving skills together
- Parents or family networks who want to be prepared for home emergencies
- Sports teams and coaches who work closely with youth or athletes
- Volunteer or charitable organizations serving the public
- Community or church groups hosting safety workshops
- Outdoor and hiking clubs preparing for remote activities
Learning with people you know creates a relaxed, supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable asking questions and practicing skills.

Common Questions About Private Group First Aid Classes
How many people do we need for a private class?
Most private classes are for groups of 6 to 18 participants, but we can accommodate smaller or larger groups upon request. It becomes more cost-effective (cheaper than enrolling for public courses) if you have 9 or more people.
Can you travel to our community center or organization?
Yes. We can bring all the training materials to your location anywhere in the Greater Vancouver Area.
Which course should our group take?
If you want a full WorkSafeBC-approved certification, choose Emergency First Aid with CPR-C or Standard First Aid with CPR-C. For shorter sessions or general skills, CPR-C and AED may be best.
Are your instructors certified?
Yes. Every instructor at Fundamental First Aid is certified and experienced in emergency response, healthcare, or paramedicine.
