CPR-C Schedule

Please note, the dates listed below refer to the in-class portion of your course. 

Once you are registered, you must complete 3 hours of online training before attending the scheduled in-class session.

Who should take CPR-C?

This course teaches the basic life-saving skills that everyone should know. Anyone 16yrs or older should take this course if they do not have a higher level of first aid.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, you will leave at the end of the day with your official Canadian Red Cross CPR-C with AED CertificateCertifications expires 3 years from the date of your course.

Frequently asked questions

What is CPR-C with AED?

CPR-C with AED is a basic CPR course designed by the Canadian Red Cross. Upon successful completion of this course you will be issued an a CPR-C certificate. 

Does CPR-C include any other First Aid training?

Yes, our CPR-C course includes basic instruction on how to control a deadly bleed and what to do when somebody is choking. You will learn how these techniques differ for Adults, Children and Infants.  This course also includes instruction on how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for Adults, Children, and Infants. 

Can I do this course online?

You cannot complete the entire course online, however at Fundamental First Aid Ltd. we offer the blended version of CPR-C with AED. This means that half of the course is done online at your own pace. Then, you will need to complete the last half of the course in class with a qualified instructor. 

Is there a written exam in a CPR course?

Yes, there is a 10 question multiple choice exam that you will complete at the end of your class. You have 30 minutes to complete the test, and you must get 8 of the questions correct in order to pass the course. 

Can I work as a first aid attendant with a CPR-C certificate?

No. If you are taking this course for work, CPR-C is not recognized by WorkSafeBC as equivalent to any of the Occupational First Aid programs that are designed for workplace first aid attendants.
