T.E. (Transportation Endorsement) is a one-day basic workplace first aid course designed and approved by WorkSafeBC. If you hold an OFA Level 1 or 2 certificate and are required to know how to secure a patient to a spine board for transportation to the hospital, this course is for you!

What is Transporation Endorsement?
T.E., which is short for Transporation Endorsement, is a basic workplace first aid course designed and approved by WorkSafeBC. Upon successful completion of this Vancouver first aid course you will be given an T.E. certificate which, when combined with an OFA 1 or OFA 2 certificate, will qualify you to package patients for tranportation while working as a first aid attendant in British Columbia.
Do I need a Level 1 or 2 certificate before I take Transportation Endorsement?
Yes, in order to be certified in Transportation Endorsement, you must hold an OFA Level 1 or 2 certificate. If you have an OFA Level 3 certificate your training supersedes T.E and you do not need to take this course.
Can I do OFA Level Transportation Endorsement online?
No, T.E. is not offered as an online course. In-person instruction is essential to evaluating the skills of the first aid attendant therefore WorkSafeBC requires that T.E. courses take place with a qualified instructor present.
How long is a T.E. Course?
T.E. is a one-day course. You will have 7 hours of training, as well as a 30 minute lunch break and two 15 minute coffee break.
Is there a written exam in Transportation Endorsement?
No, there is no written exam in T.E. You are evaluated on your practical skills.
Does a T.E. certificate expire?
Yes, your Transportation Endorsement certificate expires 3 years after the date of certification, or whenever you are no longer certified in OFA Level 1 or 2.
