What is An Emergency First Aid with CPR-C Re-cert?

This is a basic first aid course designed by the Canadian Red Cross. Upon successful completion of this course you will be issued an Emergency First Aid with CPR-C certificate. If you currently hold a valid (not expired) Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid certificate, you can take this course to re-certify.

Does this course include cpr training?

Yes, our Emergency First Aid training includes CPR-C, which is the highest level of CPR training the Canadian Red Cross offers. It means that you cover CPR techniques for Adults, Children and Infants.  This course also includes instruction on how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for Adults, Children, and Infants. 

Can I do my Emergency First Aid Re-Cert online?

No, you cannot complete the entire course online. At Fundamental First Aid Ltd. we offer the 5 hour in-class version of EFA with CPR-C Re-certification. This means that the course is held in-class with a qualified instructor. 

Is there a written exam?

Yes, there is a 20 question multiple choice exam that you will complete at the end of your class. You have 30 minutes to complete the test, and you must get 15 of the questions correct in order to pass the course. 

Can I work as a first aid attendant with an EFA certificate?

YES! If you are taking this course for work, EFA with CPR-C is recognized by WorkSafeBC as equivalent to OFA Level 1 and qualifies you to work as an OFA Level 1 first aid attendant anywhere in British Columbia.
